Moralistic Fallacy

This means to believe that because something is morally problematic or undesirable, then it should not exist. So for example, drawing the conclusion that loneliness feels negative and so it must be a ‘wrong’ state, when it could be a part of the human condition and the work is to change one’s relationship to it rather than changing a situation. Another example could be to dismiss prostitution out of hand as a valid lifestyle choice for some people based on religious prohibition or tradition, rather than logical debate, evidence and reasoning.
